Eastern Maine Community College offers a 61-credit A.A.S. degree in medical assisting. It is available with convenient day and evening options.

Day Program is of two-year coursework divided into 4 semesters whereas coursework for evening program is divided into 5 semesters, however the mandatory clinical practicum will be offered only during the day time.

Please note: Prior to enrolling in this program, prerequisite courses in algebra I and biology with lab is required.

At Kennebec Valley Community College, you can pursue a 1-year certificate program in med assisting which has a coursework of 36 credits.
